Shark Attack

I remember when Jaw came out, I was a teenager and my Mother took all of us girls to see the movie. I have never been able to go out into the ocean over my knees since then. Funny how a movie can make such a lasting impression. School Field Trips

When did they become lunch dates??? OMG . Just was sent home a notice about the upcoming field trip for school, ok so they want to take the kids to a pizza place , ok with that .. but here comes the kicker . They want to charge for the bus $1.75 (never had to pay for bus field trips) then on top of that there will be a charge of $5.50 for the kids to go and have luck and get to talk to the pizza joint's manager. Well geez I can talk to him for free ...lol Heck they aren't even going to let the kids make the pizzas.I guess the $5.50 is for the information packet they send home with the kids afterwards. Extreme Weather

Talk about extreme weather that is what we have been having here in Florida. Last week was so cold here (40 degrees) that we had to have the heat on two nights in a row. Now today is 82 degrees. With this kind of weather it's no wonder we don't all have colds.I live in the Panhandle and I came from Naples, FL about 45 years ago to live here and even down in Naples it never got as hot there as it does here. Go figure that one out will ya.This winter we had days that were as cold as 23 degrees. Yes it has snowed here too , not last year but the year before we had snow.Sure makes one wonder about global warning and what is going to happen with that.

Baby Kya IS HOME !!!

Yes finally after over 3 months in the hospital she has gotten to come home.Mom & Dad are so happy, even the sleepless nights aren't bothering them. Having Kya at home is such a relief for all of us and me being the proud Granny ...lol I can say that I am so happy that she has made it this far. Being born at 5 months and having to stay in the hospital for that long was really hard on her parents but they survived and now that she is home all is quickly being forgotten.
She still is on oxygen and they have her on a very special diet but I can see that this little one has been a fighter all her short life and will not give up. She is growing like a weed and is a very happy content baby.This the a recent picture of her just days before she came home. So much different from the before pictures of her at just over 1 pound. She now weights just over 5 pounds. Still thats very small but premies have a way of catching up.

Thank You Cards Mean So Much More

Thank you Cards are just one of those nice gestures that everyone likes to receive in the mail.How many times have you went to the mailbox and opened a thank you card and thought to yourself, what a sweet gesture.Sure does make you smile for the day. Well what of you sent out some thank you cards to your family and friends for just being that, family or a great friend. What a smile you could place on their face ,and wouldn't that make you smile too.Instead of sending that impersonal email saying thank you why not send out a beautiful card , it would say so much more.

There are so many reason to send out thank you cards, like for instance did Mom make Thanksgiving dinner for you and your family, mine did and I sent her a very nice thank you card which she said my her cry it was so sweet.Just telling her that dinner was extra special because she made it.
