Thinking Christmas Already ???

Yes me too. I love this time of year and I also love to buy gifts for everyone for Christmas as well.But the way things are right now I maybe making quite a few of my gifts this year. I love to make jelly and jams, plus I sew and quilt. I have a preemie granddaughter that turned 10 months old today but still wears a newborn or less size so I have been making her some clothes to wear since the weather has started to get colder. Tough to find clothes to fit preemies.So as a sewer / and or quilter I always scraps of material and what a great way to get rid of some of those plus make some cute warm winter clothing for Kya too. Worked out well for both of us. Not to say that Granny didn't get a BIG THRILL out of this too .lol

I gotta tell ya though it was a challenge to get them small enough. The first shirt and pants I made her was too big but she will grow into them.Now I have made a patter that fits and she now has about 3 sets of matching pants and shirt out fits as well as two kimonos and a long skirt ( which looks so adorable on her) Ok Granny is done bragging now.

Update on Kya Bree

Well my little granddaughter is really something , she weighs 1 lb and 15 ozs. now and has grown and inch she is now 13 inches long . I am still amazed at how this little girl is doing so well . Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers for they have truly helped our little preemie to do very well in this world .

I am hoping that she maintains her growth and eating so she will get to come home soon . I haven't even gotten to hold her yet . Mom and Dad have held her and from the pictures she looks even smaller . lol

A New Years baby has Arrived

Yes I am granny once again. A little early but Kya Bree is here . Weighing 1 lb. 9 0z. and 12 and a half inches ling. My daughter went into premature labor with her twins and one was lost due to complications but we are very happy that she is doing well now and little Miss Kya Bree is doing great. She was born at Scared Heart Hospital in Pensacola,FL on New Year day around 12:05 am and is just 5 months old, with preemie's being born that young they are only given a 50/50 chance at life . But I can tell my little granddaughter is here to stay as she is a fighter. I have tons of pics and videos to upload and will be adding more of Kya Bree as she progresses. She is gaining weight and has even started to eat Mom's breast milk, only 8 millilitres at a time but hey at 5 months old thats amazing to me.Here is the latest video of my new " New Year's grandbaby kya Bree ..I hope you will enjoy and come back soon for more updates and to see how Kya Bree is doing.
